Come and enjoy some of our free demonstrations and take part in the activities at the Art Root Open Studios event. All the demonstrations and drop-ins will run throughout the weekend and are suitable for all ages, young, old and in-between.

Leslemay Miller is a creator of beautiful artist books and will show you how to make flutter-books and origami brooches.

Potter Philip Revell will be throwing and assembling pots in his studio for much of the weekend.
Tyninghame Hall, Tyninghame
Ruth Alder is an experienced needle-felter demonstrating this fun technique. Come and watch her create one of her fantastic animals, and have a go.

Lew Passmore is an award-winning screenwriter who writes true-life stories with fantastic elements. Join his screenwriting workshop to find out where a film begins and lend your voice to a table-read of his latest script.

Joel Baker is a mosaic artist and will be on site to demonstrate his techniques of mosaic making.

Lucy Dunce -Over the weekend Lucy will demonstrate the masking, printing and hand painting techniques that are the focus of her earthenware ceramics.
